Professional info
I'm a media producer, writer-editor, and instructional designer. I also write for Examiner.com and am an Instructor for the UCLA Extension Writers Program.
I have been an instructional designer for Amgen and The Cheesecake Factory. In both roles I used Articulate, Photoshop, PowerPoint, MS Movie and other design tools to create Computer-Based Training and live presentations for company-wide training initiatives.
Prior to that, I was a manager and video producer of corporate ethics and compliance training programs for LRN, where I created Computer-Based Training, blended learning programs and training videos for Disney, Pfizer, Viacom and other global Fortune 500 companies. In that role, I managed a staff of six full-time and 14 freelance course writers, wrote and edited course documents, and produced and directed training videos and senior executive corporate messaging.
My television credits include writing for Saturday Night Live for two seasons, and a writer-producer for Night Court, Boy Meets World, A Different World, The Jay Leno Show, Fridays! and other network TV series and specials.
I've also produced web-based virtual worlds for Communities.com and wrote web articles for National Lampoon, The Examiner, The Washington Dispatch and other websites, and I spent two years as the managing editor for FixMyLove.com.
I am proficient in both PC and MAC as well as Articulate, Photoshop, Captivate, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, MS MovieMaker, iMovie, SharePoint, MS Project,
Lotus Notes, HTML, and all social media.
Specialties: My specialty is writing and producing creative content, computer-based training programs and corporate videos.
